Veterans Food Bank Donations
Help Us Support Our Veterans – Food Drive for the Veteran's Food Bank
In honor of those who have served our country, we are organizing a food drive all year to support the Veteran's Food Bank. Every month, we will be setting up competitions and challenges for students to bring in as many donations as possible. To build Wildcat spirit, all homerooms have been split into 4 teams and will work together to get points each month. At the end of the year, there will be a grand prize for the team that was the most successful.
We kindly ask for your help in making this effort a success. Non-perishable food items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, and boxed meals are greatly appreciated. Your generous donations will go directly to local veterans and their families in need.
Donations can be dropped off in their homeroom starting the week of November 4. Together we can show our appreciation and give back to those who have given so much for us.

Dear Parents and Guardians
I hope this message finds you well. As we approach a season centered on gratitude and giving, we have a wonderful opportunity to support our local veteran community. Our school is organizing a year-long food drive to benefit the Veterans Food Bank of Alberta, which plays a crucial role in providing essential resources to veterans and their families.
I am reaching out to ask for your help in making this food drive a success. Your generous donations will contribute to ensuring that those who have served our country are supported and cared for.
Every contribution, large or small, makes a difference. If you would like to participate, please have your child bring donations to their homeroom classroom. The students in 9-1 have set a goal for the month of November to bring in 5 items per child. We are hopeful we can even surpass this goal.
We greatly appreciate your support and generosity as we come together to help those who have given so much for our nation. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you for your kindness and consideration.

Picking Up Students Early
From time to time parents will need to pick up their child/ren early from school for various reasons such as appointments, sports, etc…
The office does not need advance notice of the pick up. Parents can either come into the office or you can call the office (403-777-7720 ext 0) when you arrive at school to have your child dismissed early. We will call students classrooms to have them dismissed.
Reporting Student Lates/Absences
Please be sure to call or email with your child’s absence or if your child will be late for school. It is helpful if parents can be quite specific regarding the reason for the late or absence.
