Grade 6 Vaccinations

Public Health Nurses will be coming to the school on Thursday December 5 to provide routine immunizations to students who have returned signed consent forms.

Please ensure your child eats breakfast and wears short sleeves/layered clothing which would allow for easy access to the upper arm.

If your child has had any changes to their health status since returning the forms, or if you have questions/concerns about immunizations, please contact Becky Bell at 403-944-7811 or becky.bell@ahs.ca

For ways to help reduce pain, fear, and anxiety, or to help prepare your child for immunizations, please visit ahs.ca/vaccinecomfort or ahs.ca/immunize.”

Veteran's Food Bank Donations

Help Us Support Our Veterans – Food Drive for the Veteran's Food Bank

In honor of those who have served our country, we are organizing a food drive ALL YEAR to support the Veteran's Food Bank.

Every month, we will be setting up competitions and challenges for students to bring in as many donations as possible.  To build Wildcat spirit, all homerooms have been split into 4 teams and will work together to get points each month.  At the end of the year, there will be a grand prize for the team that was the most successful.

We kindly ask for your help in making this effort a success.  Non-perishable food items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, and boxed meals are greatly appreciated.  Your generous donations will go directly to local veterans and their families in need.

Donations can be dropped off in their homeroom starting the week of November 4.  Together we can show our appreciation and give back to those who have given so much for us

Picking Up Students Early

From time to time parents will need to pick up their child/ren early from school for various reasons such as appointments, sports, etc…

The office does not need advance notice of the pick up.  Parents can either come into the office or you can call the office (403-777-7720 ext 0) when you arrive at school to have your child dismissed early.  We will call students classrooms to have them dismissed.

Reporting Student Lates/Absences

Please be sure to call or email with your child’s absence or if your child will be late for school.    It is helpful if parents can be quite specific regarding the reason for the late or absence.
