Traffic Safety
Ensuring our students get to school safely is everyone’s responsibility. Please be mindful of crosswalks, parking rules and speed limits when you are near our schools, especially during the morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal times.
Traffic Safety Reminders from The City of Calgary
The City wants to remind and encourage anyone who is driving children to school to operate their vehicles safely and responsibly. Parents and guardians are reminded not to park where it’s prohibited during drop off and pick up times, such as blocking crosswalks, laneways and private driveways.
Pick up and drop off times can get quite busy. Give yourself extra time to navigate safely around schools, whether you are walking, wheeling, or driving. For those who drive, help alleviate congestion by parking a block or two away and walking in, wherever possible.
Talk to your kids about safe travel practices like using crosswalks with patrols, looking all ways before crossing the street and not jaywalking across the roadways as a shortcut.

Picking Up Students Early
From time to time parents will need to pick up their child/ren early from school for various reasons such as appointments, sports, etc…
The office does not need advance notice of the pick up. Parents can either come into the office or you can call the office (403-777-7720 ext 0) when you arrive at school to have your child dismissed early. We will call students classrooms to have them dismissed.
Drop-Off
For safety reasons please do not drop off or pick up your child in the school parking lot.
Staff Parking
The staff parking lot and rear staff entrance is off limits to all students and there is no parking available, except for our two handicap stalls which are open for guests in need.
Visitor Parking
There is no visitor parking in our school lot. All parking spots are assigned to staff members. Visitors and guests are asked to please park on the streets surrounding the school.
The handicapped parking stall will still be available…please ensure you have your valid handicapped parking sign with you when using this spot.
