The Week Ahead
Jan 19 – 23
Power Up Class
We are developing a Math Power-Up class to provide additional support for students in Grades 7, 8, and 9. This class would replace one of a student’s option courses.
The Math Power-Up class will provide extra time to reinforce current classroom concepts while also supporting students who need to strengthen foundational math skills essential for success in Grade 9 and beyond.
If your child is interested in participating, please let us know as soon as possible. Kindly email your student’s math teacher so that we can place interested students accordingly.
Drama
Mr. Jenkins will host auditions on 28, 29, and 30 from 2:50 to 4:00 for the upcoming "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" and "The Fairy Tale Network".
The show will run on May 29 and 30, with possible additional performances on May 27 and 28.
Computers
We are asking for parent support in reinforcing responsible computer use at school. Recently, we have experienced an increase in damaged devices, including screens broken from laptops being closed with too much force and computers rendered unusable due to magnets from fidget toys (such as spinner magnets), which can permanently damage internal components.
Teaching staff continue to actively supervise and remind students of proper care and handling of school technology. However, reinforcing these expectations at home would be greatly appreciated. A conversation about gentle handling, appropriate use, and keeping magnets and similar items away from devices can help ensure our computers remain available and functional for all students.
Thank you for your continued support in helping students use school technology safely and responsibly.
Wildcat Market
Jan 23 @ 9:40-11:30 am
Throughout this semester in CTF – Enterprise & Innovation, students have been developing their own businesses from the ground up. They've worked through all stages of the process, from brainstorming and product design to marketing, budgeting, and sales.
At the Wildcat Market, students will be proudly representing their companies and selling the products they've created. If students would like to purchase items, please bring $5- $10 in cash would be plenty.
